Spring Time...well almost!

Well, maybe it's not even ALMOST spring. With all the snow and ice, it seems like winter is here to stay! However, I was inspired by a fellow blogger with some spring flowers. So I lifted the idea and put it on a bottle! Visit her blog here http://www.mailebelles.blogspot.com/ She has some serious flower fusion going on and though I am very proud of my project, I actually think she did a better job! So here it is!

I cut out the flowers using my Stamping Cricut Cartridge then added some buttons on top. Then popped them up with some dimentionals! The paper for the flowers is from Basic Grey...imagine that! The base paper of the bottle is from Greenhouse Gala  and the tan is Crumb Cake, both by Stampin' Up!

The white button on the purple flower is actually a Christmas button...I just flipped it over! Shh! Don't tell!

I used my Storybook Cricut Cartridge to cut out the word "Spring." I love how the letters go off the edges of the paper!

Addicted to Basic Grey

OK so I have a problem. I am addicted to Basic Grey.  As mentioned in my last post, Kristina's layouts are so versatile!  You will notice that this is almost the same layout as the card in my previous post!

The patterned paper in the background of this card, I have decided, is my favorite from the Hopscotch collection!  And just look at that flower! It coordinates perfectly!



The "Thanks" stickers are micro mono stickers from BG as well! When I received them in my kit, I thought they had been damaged! They have little marks all over them, looking like they had got stepped on a few times! Only later, after asking around, did I learn they were distressed and supposed to look like that! Duh! That made me feel really dumb, but it makes sense! Their distressed look works perfectly with the rest of the collection! 

OK, so maybe the next time I post, I will have something other than Basic Grey....or maybe not! Like I said I am addicted and there is just so much fun to be had with this collection! Catch you next time!



Basic Grey Inspiration

I absolutely love Basic Grey's Hopscotch collection!  Everything on this card is Basic Grey.  I am taking this online class with Kristina Werner and this is a layout she came up with! You can buy a package of these office tabs separately and they are so cute!  Everything in the collection works together so it's hard to mess anything up!
