Week 4 Card Camp Creations!

I'm so sad Summer Card Camp is almost over! It was so much fun!
Here is creation #1!

This color combo is my favorite of the 4 weeks!
Green is my favorite color and it goes so well with blue!

I got the idea for this card from the latest Paper Crafts Magazine!
The idea is that the rectangles are purposely adhered crooked for a funky look!

Patterned paper: Basic Grey
Cardstock: Crumb Cake from Stampin' Up!
Letters and Die: Ashlyn's Alphabet Cricut cartridge
Ink: Martha Stewart

Here is Creation #2!
I used the scraps from Creation #1 and straightened things out a bit!

I feel like this card has a little of an Asian feel to it.
I didn't mean to, but I like it!

I also like that the patterned paper isn't taking over my card.
I kind of feel that way about Creation #1.

Yes, I know I spelled Thanks wrong...as my husband kindly pointed out!
I didn't have a green K and S, so X will have to do!

Patterned Paper: Basic Grey
Cardstock: Whisper White and Crumb Cake from Stampin' Up!
Letters: Love Sticker Tablet from Deja Views

Well that's all folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Blue

Hello everyone! I made this card a few days ago. I was inspired by the beautiful blue sky to make a blue card! So here it is!

I've been going much more simple on my cards lately and I think I like it!
I kept having a tendency to try to mix too many patterns and shapes, so I took a step back and decided to go simple. I am happy with the results I have had lately!

And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:20-21

Finger Inking!

Hello everyone! This week at summer card camp, I learned how to finger ink!
It's fun to get messy! Here's my card with this week's colors!

I am in LOVE with these colors! I will definitely be using this color combo for Valentine's Day! I've always liked using pink and brown together but this combination puts it over the top!

The base of the card is Crumb Cake by Stampin' Up!
The pink is by Brazill and is stamped with my polka dot background stamp!
The patterned paper is Basic Grey from the Hopscotch collection!
The butterflies are from Stampin' Up!

Yes, I used a hodgepodge of designs and companies and I love the result!
I will certainly be doing more finger inking in the future! Thanks Jennifer McGuire!
And Thank YOU for visiting! Ta Ta for now!

Sweet and Simple

Hello, everyone! Here is sweet and simple card I made in 5 minutes!

The paper is from Basic Grey's Marjolaine paper pack.
I love the colors in this pack! There are lots of pretty blue hues matched with
some funky bright greens!

I like how the layered paper looks, too! It adds extra interest!

This stamp is my new favorite! It is from "Slice of Life" by Stampin' Up!

I finally started using my SU Blender Pens and I absolutely love them!
You use them with an ink pad and you can make the intensity of the color brighter or darker
depending on how much ink you use! They are so much fun!

The ink I used is a pretty mix of blues and greens from a set by Martha Stewart!

Well, that's all for now! Thanks for visiting! See you soon!

Get Organized!

So what have I been doing today? Other than beating Chad at Scrabble,
I decided I needed to do some organizing!

I went through all my envelopes, measured them and labeled them!
It was so frustrating trying to find the right size for a card
since they were all mixed together!

Who knew I had 8 different sizes of envelopes?! Why? No clue!

I found this really cute green basket at World Market to fix up my cards!
I had them in an expandable filing system and they were getting bent so I had to do something!

They are all appropriately labeled according to occassion!

Ah, yes...while moving things around, I found several different stacks of random paper!
So, poof! Organized!

Though I am very happy to have my own space, it's well...uninviting.
I need some inexpensive storage solutions! Help! I have a lot of room,
but I think I need to move things around! Any ideas? Let me know!

Thanks for visiting! Stop by again soon, I am determined to post more often!

Summer Card Classes, week 2!

Ok, so I failed at getting a card up last week, but here is this week's color combo!

And Here is the first card I made with this combo...

I'm not a fan. I had a lot of trouble with these colors.
I also used a sketch from Kristina Werner which I have never done before
so I guess there's a first time for everything!

So I tried again.

I did my own thing with this card! And I love it!

The Yellow strip is stamped in Poppy Parade as is "Thanks."
Yeay! I did it and it was fun!
